Philip Stewart is a Senior Associate with the Transactional/Corporate Group of Blue Sky Law in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his BA in History with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University, then graduated magna cum laude from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University where he received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing and was a member of the mock trial team.
Philip is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division. He is also the Chairperson of the Georgia Atlanta chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

Having been a business owner himself prior to law school, Philip has a deep appreciation for business owners and a desire to help them succeed. He has significant experience working in a variety of capacities including in-house counsel representing one of the country’s largest REITs and as a corporate transaction attorney involved in both the acquisition and sale of various companies.
He understands that oftentimes an innovative approach is needed to overcome unique challenges that a business can experience. Philip takes a practical, business-minded approach to support the needs of the businesses he represents. From initial formation of an entity to its exit strategies and winding down, he is driven to support his clients because he understands what it takes to make a company successful.

From formation and governance matters to agreements including bylaws, shareholder/operating agreements, voting agreements, and buy-sell agreements, Philip helps his clients navigate the legal complexities associated with owning and running a business.
Personal Background
Philip grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia before moving out West for college and starting his first company. He also spent two years in Southern Spain and the Canary Islands where he became fluent in Spanish. As the son of an attorney, he attended the same law school as his father and met his wife while there. They were married in 2016.
When he isn’t helping his clients reach their goals, Philip is scoring them as an ice hockey player. He enjoys spending time visiting new places with his wife, their son, and daughter, trying new restaurants, doing community service, playing guitar, and watching his favorite sports teams. Additionally, Philip is an Eagle Scout.
