Mitesh Patel is the Principal and Founder of Blue Sky Law in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business with a BS in Finance, then received his Juris Doctor degree with High Honors from the University of Florida.
Mitesh is an active member of the Georgia Bar, a board member for The Tommy Nobis Center, and has acted as a board member for BBVA Compass Bank and was the former Director of the Georgia South Asian Bar Association. Mitesh additionally holds certifications as Firefighter I and II, Rescue Technician, and First Responder.
Legal Background:
Mitesh began his legal career as an attorney with the international law firm of Bryan Cave, LLP (formerly Powell Goldstein, LLP), where he served in business transactions and securities. He founded the MJ Patel Law Group in 2009 and spent a decade partnered with experienced attorneys throughout Metro Atlanta. As Mitesh honed his legal experience, he identified the best attorneys in the business, and with them, the Blue Sky Law Team evolved into the thriving practice it is today.
Mitesh is a proactive business advisor who enjoys practicing in business mergers, sales and acquisitions, exit and succession planning, private securities (fundraising for companies), partnership and corporate structuring, partnership disputes, governance (operating agreements and bylaws, stock options, and phantom stocks, to name a few), contracts, and outside general counsel representation.

While Mitesh hails from the quaint Appalachian town of Tazewell, Tennessee, he currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, son, daughter, and dog. His time away from clients is enjoyed through high-intensity interval training, or exploring the outdoors through camping or roaming the mountains. When Mitesh isn’t on an outdoor adventure, he loves cooking and entertaining.
